Tesla has initiated a recall of approximately 3,900 of its Cybertrucks due to concerns regarding the vehicle’s accelerator pedal. The announcement of the recall came on Wednesday following identification of a potential problem by the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA).

The issue revolves around the accelerator pedal pads within the Cybertrucks, which may dislodge and become trapped by the interior trim. According to the NHTSA, this malfunction can lead to unintended acceleration, posing an increased risk of accidents.

All Cybertrucks manufactured between November 13 and April 4, totaling 3,878 vehicles, are subject to this recall, according to Tesla’s safety recall report.

The recall underscores Tesla’s commitment to addressing safety concerns promptly and ensuring the well-being of its customers. Owners of affected Cybertrucks are encouraged to take necessary actions to rectify the issue and minimize potential risks on the road.
